I have experience teaching and leading music workshops in a wide range of settings.
I’m available to teach guitar, music theory, composition, and Max/MSP one-to-one.
I currently teach at Birmingham BiMM as course leader for their Computer Music Software Design module.
My previous work leading and assisting with workshops includes projects with Turtle Key Arts, working with people with dementia and autism, and TiPP (Theatre in Prisons and Probation), working with prisoners and young people within the Criminal Justice System, and with NoisyToys, delivering science workshops through creative music technology. I also worked for Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industryfor a year leading science workshops, so I can also tell you how a steam engine works if you like.
I work as a tutor for The Tutor Trust, a charity working to provide tutoring to children who wouldn’t otherwise be able to access it, mostly looked after children and children on free school meals. I have received extensive training in teaching methods, learning styles and effective lesson delivery, specialising in primary school Maths and English and secondary school Maths, English and Science.
